Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 1/2 Cup Old Fashioned Oats
- 3/4 Cup Coconut Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Nutmeg
- 3/4 Cup Vegetable oil/butter/coconut oil (melted)
- 1 tbsp Vanilla
- 1/4 Cup Almond Milk
Vegan Cream Cheese Frosting
- 4 oz Vegan Cream Cheese of Choice
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 3-4 Cups Powdered Sugar
- Splash Vanilla
Sauteed Apples
- 1 cup Apples diced
- 2 tbsp Sugar of choice
- 1 tbsp Coconut oil/olive oil/butter
Instructions
- Dice up 2 peeled apples and sprinkle with sugar and a little bit of lemon juice. Set aside.
- In a large bowl mix flour, oats, sugar, baking soda, cinammon, and nutmeg. Next, add the oil, vanilla, and almond milk.
- Grease a 9×9 Pan and coat the bottom of the pan with half of the flour mixture. Press down into the pan and then add the sugar coated apples that were set aside. Finish with the rest of the dry mixture on top.
- Heat at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes until baked through.
Vegan Cream Cheese Frosting
- Place 4 oz of cream cheese in a bowl and start mixing until it softens. Squeeze lemon juice from 1/2 a lemon and a splash of vanilla in the cream cheese and then add 1 cup of powdered sugar. Mix and then add another cup of powdered sugar. Continue adding powdered sugar until desired consistency is reached.
Sauteed Apples
- Dice up an apple and heat a pan with a the coconut oil. Sautee the apples and add a bit of sugar to sweeten. The sugar and oil will form a glaze with the sauteed apples.
